Tools
- Frying pan
- Large mixing bowl

- Tongs
- Paper napkins or plate
Steps
Preheat heat oil in a large skillet or frying pan on medium-high heat. You could also use a deep fryer or electric skillet to fry in.
Step 1 – In a large mixing bowl mix the dry ingredients: flour, salt, and baking powder.
Step 2 – Mix enough water into the center of the flour mixture to form a sticky dough. Knead bread dough by hand into a ball.
Step 3 – Cut dough into nine equal round dough balls, cover with plastic wrap, or a clean kitchen towel. Take one piece of dough and roll or flatten each ball to about ½” thick. If the dough is sticky roll out on a floured surface with a rolling pin or palm of your hand.
Step 4 – Fry in hot oil on both sides until golden brown. Remove fry bread from the frying pan with tongs and place it on a plate with paper towels to cool.
Serve With Yummy Sweet Toppings: Drizzle with honey, maple syrup, or serve with honey butter. I like to mix equal parts of honey or orange marmalade with olive oil to dip bread in.
