Baked cherry pudding a quick and simple dessert with tart cherries and crumble crust. Serve with a warm with a spoon of vanilla ice cream or whip topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup biscuit mix

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup pitted cherries drained (save juice from canned cherries)

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • Syrup
  • 1 1/2 cup cherry juice (add water if needed)

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of margarine

How To Make Cherry Pudding & crumble crust

  • Mix together biscuit mix, sugar, cherries and milk.
  • Spread mixture into a greased 9×9″ square baking pan
  • Add all syrup ingredients to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  • Pour hot syrup over the mixture in the baking dish.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes

Notes

  • How to serve cherry pudding? Serve with a scoop of ice cream or whipped topping.
  • How to prepare a baking dish? Spread a little bit of cold butter on all sides and bottom of the baking dish, dust with flour on all sides and bottom of the pan. Tap out the excess flour and your baking pan is ready for non-stick baking.
